Central Disposal Site Blower Flare Project Bids Under Review

Brief Description:The project shall include, in general, all work, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to furnish and construct a new blower flare station for the destruction of landfill gas from Sonoma County's Central Disposal Site at 500 Mecham Road, Petaluma, California, 94952. The project also includes (but is not limited to) limited site work and field and performance testing to provide a complete system ready for operation.

A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for this project on April 30, 2008, commencing at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference room of the Operations Headquarters Building, Central Disposal Site, 500 Mecham Road, Petaluma, CA 94952. The County has determined that, to prepare a proper bid, bidders should observe existing conditions.

Central Landfill Leachate and Compressed Landfill Gas Pipeline Project

Bid  Opening: March 16, 2005
Brief Description: The work to be done consists, in general, of constructing approximately 24,000 linear feet of double-walled, high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline between the Central Disposal Site to the city of Rohnert Park sewage transmission line at Rohnert Park Expressway and Stony Point Road.  Two pump stations will be constructed at the Central Disposal Site.  Approximately 6,340 feet of existing 6-inch water line will be replaced with an 8-inch HDPE pipe.

Central Landfill Site - East Canyon Expansion Phase IV Permits Pending W06887

Bid Opening: June 25, 2003
Brief Description: The work to be done consists, in general, of constructing the next phase of the Central Landfill East Canyon Expansion Phase IV. The work will include approximately earth work, hard rock drilling and blasting, expansion of geosynthetic liner system, leachate collection system piping, drainage improvements, roadways, placement of sacrificial liner, and erosion control.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project on May 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Landfill Operations Administration Building, 500 Mecham Road, Petaluma, CA.  Attendance is mandatory to bid on this project.  The pre-bid meeting will be held by representatives from the Transportation and Public Works Department.  Bidders not attending this mandatory meeting will not be eligible to bid on the project.

Note: Per Addendum No. 1:  Two (2) Pre-Bid Conferences and Walk-Throughs will be conducted.  The first conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. May 28, 2003.  The second conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. June 11, 2003.*****
