Current Airport Projects

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This project consists of pavement preservation and restriping of Taxiways D & Y and select apron areas, as well as adding new enhanced centerline markings and hold position markings in all areas.

OPTIONAL PRE-BID WALK-THROUGH: A pre-bid conference and walk-through is scheduled for 10:00 am, March 18, 2010. The conference will be held in the Airport Office, 2290 Airport Boulevard, Santa Rosa. All prospective bidders are encouraged to at-tend. Representatives of the County and Z & H Engineering will be present to discuss the project, receive questions, and conduct a tour of the Airport. At all other times, Contractor access onto the Airport must be coordinated and supervised by the County; County staff is only available on a limited basis. Sealed bids will be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 100A, 575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, California, 95403, until 3:00 p.m., as determined by the clock on the wall of the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, on April 8, 2010 at which time they will be transferred to the Board Caucus Room where they will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Sonoma County Director of Transportation and Public Works or his designee. Said bids will be referred to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors for consideration after evaluation by the Department of Transportation and Public Works staff.

Contract documents may be examined at the office of the Airport Manager, 2290 Airport Boulevard, Santa Rosa, California 95403, telephone (707) 565-7243. Copies of contract documents may be obtained upon application to Sonoma County Airport, 2290 Airport Blvd. Santa Rosa, California 95403, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of $50.00. Only checks payable to County of Sonoma will be accepted. No cash is accepted.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The work to be done consists of rehabilitating Taxiway Z pavement and replacing Taxiway Z electrical circuits and edge lights. The CONTRACTOR shall provide prices for two (2) Bid Schedules. Bid Schedule "A" includes the entire scope of work utilizing CALTRANS Asphalt Concrete . Bid Schedule B includes the entire scope of work utilizing P-401 Asphalt Concrete.
