 Overview

Man with magnifying glassThe SONOMA COUNTY AUDITOR-CONTROLLER-TREASURER-TAX COLLECTOR is pleased to provide you with the capability to obtain property tax information on-line.  You may view your tax bill and, if desired, make your property tax payment using a credit card or E-Check electronic debit from your checking or savings account.  Please note there is a 2.5% fee for use of your credit card and a $3 fee for E-Check. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not receive a confirmation number at the end of your transaction, your transaction was NOT successful. The Tax Roll is a public document that lists taxes and special assessments, the amount paid and the amount due for all taxable real estate, business property and personal property located in Sonoma County.  To protect your privacy, we do not display address information in the results of any searches you perform on this web site.

  To perform a search:

1.  Determine which of the following you want to search for:

Assessment Number
Parcel Number
Street Address
Owner

2.  Type your search criteria in the corresponding blank row in the "Search Criteria" column

The PDF document "How to Search the Tax Roll and Pay Taxes On-Line" contains hints on how to format your search criteria

Note:  Owner format is LAST FIRST MIDDLE (i.e. PUBLIC JOHN Q) with no commas or periods

3.  Select a "Search Type" from the drop-down menu in the row corresponding to the search criteria you have chosen (the default is "Begins with"). Additional hints may be found in "How to Search the Tax Roll and Pay Taxes On-Line" by locating on "The Search Type Column"

4.  Click "Submit" once and wait for our search system to display a list of records that match your criteria

5.  Click the underlined assessment number of a record in the results list to view detailed information about that assessment

No Results?

If your search doesn't result in any records, you may want to broaden your search criteria. For example, if you searched for a specific owner (e.g., Public John Q) and got no results, try a search on just the last name. Keep in mind that the amount of time it takes to return a results list will increase with broader searches.

How to Correct Wrong or Missing Information

What if your search results indicate that some of the information we have on file is incorrect? For instance, suppose we have spelled your name incorrectly or you think that we are maintaining incorrect values on our records. In these and similar situations, please contact the Assessor's Office who will investigate your concern and take steps to correct any wrong or missing information.
