All County immigrant residents, whether they are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, undocumented residents, refugees, or residents with any other immigration status, are valued and are integral members of our social, cultural, and economic fabric. Residential Tenancy Protections Ordinance
Updated 2/25/25: On Feb. 25, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved temporary limitations on evictions in the Lower Russian River area neighborhoods where residents were most impacted by flooding during the February 2025 winter storms. This replaces countywide emergency eviction protections that were activated on Feb. 11 when the Board ratified a declaration of emergency due to the floods.

Sonoma County seeks community member to join newly established independent audit committee
The Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector‘s Office is seeking a member of the public to join an independent audit committee, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors during its March 25 meeting. The committee will consist of Supervisors Chris Coursey and David Rabbitt, and one member from the community.
