Planning Projects

The Project Review Division, also known as current planning, reviews new development proposals for conformance with the County's General Plan and zoning ordinances. This staff analyzes applications for new commercial development through the permit process, as well as new subdivision proposals. They also conduct design review for new developments in certain areas.

Included here are Environmental Impact Reports that are required to be prepared by state and local agencies under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for projects that may have significant environmental impacts.

Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate PRMD staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one section within PRMD (e.g. Building, Plan Check, Zoning, Well & Septic, etc.), since each section implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project.
