Magic Lantern Slides
The Magic Lantern is the earliest form of slide
projector in which images were painted on glass and projected
on walls or fabric.
The Berkeley Geography Collection attempts to make images (mostly photographs)
that are useful in teaching geography more widely available using
computers and the internet. The images date from about 1900 to around 1915.

Peruse a number of drawings, paintings, and watercolors
of 19th and early 20th century Sonoma County scenes and structures.
The Online Archive of California includes images from libraries, special collections, archives, historical societies and musems maintained by the 10 University of California Campuses.

The images in this collection are selected from over 26,000 historical photographs
owned by Sonoma County Library. With funds provided by the Sonoma County
Board of Supervisors, full cataloging has been provided in the library's
online catalog to these images.
