You can help the Regional Parks!

The Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation raises funds to support our 41 beautiful Regional Parks. You can help by sending in a donation today and help provide parks, programs and projects that benefit the people of Sonoma County as well as all park visitors. Your contributions can be directed to the following seven general areas of need.

Unrestricted

Regional Parks will direct your contribution to the area of greatest need. Recent unrestricted donations have been used to create new exhibits at the Gualala Visitors Center and to build a wheelchair ramp at Doran Beach Regional Park.

Environmental Discovery Center

Provide science education to school children and park visitors through seasonal, themed, hands-on interactive exhibits and activities. Donations support the school field trip program and the Science in the Parks outreach programs.

Safe Summer and Swim Safe

Summer educational and recreational program for at-risk youth stressing environmental stewardship, swimming and boating safety, park career exploration, community service and recreational activities. Your contributions help us to offer this program at no cost to participants.

Children's Memorial Grove

Help build this memorial grove at Spring Lake Regional Park - dedicated to all of Sonoma County children who have passed away. Provide a lasting tribute to our children and a place of peace and beauty for all of our park visitors. Stroll under a canopy of trees, sit in the gazebo and look over a meadow of wildflowers. Contributions of any amount are welcome.

Maxwell Farms Accessible Playground

The Regional Parks Foundation is leading a fundraising effort build a new integrated accessible play structure that can be used independently by children with a wide range of physical abilities.  For more information on this project please visit http://www.sonoma-county.org/parks/pk_maxplay.htm.

Veterans Auditorium

Your contributions can help purchase needed equipment, furniture and other improvements to assure that our Veterans facilities continue to provide programs, services and facilities to our veterans as well as the general public.

Tree Planting and Habitat Restoration

Your contributions to this fund help us to purchase trees for many park planting projects. Plantings occur in new park development projects, in restoration or repair projects, and in designated areas like the Veterans and Children's Memorial Grove and the Children's Garden. Other funded projects include activities like creek and trail restoration and nonnative plant removal. Contributions of any amount will receive a certificate acknowledging their donation to this fund.

Benches

Honor the memory of a loved one, recognize a special person or event. For a donation of $1,100, install a new park bench with a standard plaque in one of our County parks. You may also install a new plaque on a pre-existing bench for a donation of $500. Limited availability at some parks.

Picnic Tables

You can dedicate a new picnic table to the memory of a loved one or recognize a special person or event. For a donation of $1,300, install a new picnic table with a standard plaque in one of our county parks. Wide availability at most parks.
