Who We AreThe
Regional Parks Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), was established in 1997 by the
Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. The Foundation raises funds, fosters partnerships,
and advocates in support of specific projects and activities that benefit our
County parks. The Foundation is funded primarily through support by individuals,
groups and businesses who are committed to the preservation and expansion of our
County park system. Contributions support: - Community
Outreach Programs
- Interpretive displays/programs
- Environmental
education in schools
- Trails expansion
- Tree planting/Plant restoration
- Wildlife
habitat protection
Our MissionThe mission of the Sonoma County
Regional Parks Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for all the people
of Sonoma County by: - Raising funds to support park programs, facilities,
and services.
- Promoting the value and benefits of our county parks.
- Providing
opportunities for partnerships with other community organizations and for volunteers
to contribute to our programs and services.
- Supporting park programs that
educate our community, especially our youth, about Sonoma County's natural resources.
- Expanding
park access to underserved groups in our community.
