Willowside Road to Fulton Road

BACKGROUND

In June 2007, in partnership with the Sonoma County Water Agency, Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, and Regional Parks Department, the first phase of the trail was completed by installing three multi-use bridges along Reach F. The next phase of this project is to pave the trail.

The 2.14-mile paved trail will be constructed on the northern gravel service road between Willowside Road and Fulton Road. The paved surface will be accessible to wheel chairs and bicycles. The paved trail is funded by $550,000 from the Transportation for Livable Communities (TLC), $50,000 from park mitigation fees, and $100,000 from TDA (Transportation Development Act) Article 3. The construction start date is Spring 2010.
