2009 Flu Season
H1N1 Dispensing Sites DHS Worker Sign-up
Attention Public Health staff and other invited volunteer participants!
Public Health is actively planning our response to the 2009 H1N1 flu. Beginning in mid-October we will be dispensing H1N1 flu vaccine to the community at mass dispensing sites/points of dispensing (POD) around the county.
Are you available to help staff these PODs? You are an integral part of our response effort. Your participation will make a tremendous impact on the health of our community.
We need receptionists, screeners, educators, nurses, data entry clerks, translators, and people who can help manage details, flow and communications. There are a broad array of assignments, and we will provide training to help you be prepared. The PODs will be held on:
- Saturday, October 24th, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Windsor High School in Windsor and Casa Grande High School in Petaluma.
- Saturday, November 14th, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Windsor High School in Windsor and Lawrence Cook Middle School in Santa Rosa.
- Saturday, November 21st, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma.
Workers will be given two fifteen minute breaks and a one-hour lunch break (you'll even receive a free lunch!). And all POD workers will be offered 2009 H1N1 flu vaccinations for FREE.
To register as a POD worker, please use our online registration form.
Thank you for your help and participation in this year's flu prevention efforts!
