MCAH Advisory Board

Mission Statement

Promote universal access to comprehensive health services for children, adolescents, mothers and their families in Sonoma County to achieve optimal physical, social, and emotional health.

Activities

The MCAH Advisory Board -- appointed by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors -- informs and advises policy makers on maternal, child, and adolescent health issues. It promotes public awareness of health and access issues in cooperation with community-based health and human service agencies and organizations.

The MCAH Advisory Board also promotes appropriate services for the culturally and economically diverse population of childbearing women, children, and adolescents in Sonoma County, identifying special needs and priorities as well as advocating for their solutions.

Meetings

The MCAH Advisory Board meets the first Thursday of each month from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Manzanita Room at 490 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401. The public is welcome at all MCAH Advisory Board meetings.
