Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace Awards

The Sonoma County Breastfeeding Coalition honors businesses that support breastfeeding employees who are returning to work with "Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace Awards." Although it is the law in California to provide adequate facilities for breastfeeding moms, some companies are exceptional in their accommodations for nursing mothers. In addition to increasing the duration of breastfeeding and helping parents balance family and work, Mother-Baby Friendly policies in the workplace benefit businesses by reducing absenteeism and health care costs and improved employee retention and productivity.

The following businesses have been honored because their lactation programs have a written policy that addresses the following components: space and break time for pumping and/or breastfeeding, maternity leave, and dissemination of the policy to employees.

These Sonoma County businesses recognize the value of breastfeeding and we are pleased to honor them each with the "Mother Baby Friendly Workplace Awards."
