This testing service is available to health providers and clinics in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake counties.
Molecular Biology Tests
Molecular tests are available for the following:
- B. pertussis (whooping cough)
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex
- Norovirus
- Influenza virus
Sample Requirements
B. pertussis: see B. pertussis testing page for specimen collection, storage, and transport requirements.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex: see Tuberculosis testing page for specimen collection, storage, and transport requirements.
Influenza virus: see R-Mix (viral respiratory panel) testing page for specimen collection, storage, and transport requirements.
Norovirus: Unpreserved stool or or vomitus. Note: If you are from an institutional setting, and think you may have an outbreak, please contact Public Health Disease Control.
Testing Results
Results are available in 1 to 2 days.
Specimen Submission Forms
Physician's order, patient information and billing information must accompany the specimen. Use the Monster form for submission.
