The Public Health Regional Laboratory offers the following tests:
Microbial Disease Tests
- Enteric culture for Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, vibrio, E. coli 0157:H7
- B. pertussis (whooping cough)
(molecular testing, RT-PCR can be ordered) - TPPA (Treponema) darkfield Syphilis serology confirmation
- Gonorrhea or Chlamydia NAAT
- Mycology (fungus) culture
- Mycology (fungus) I.D.
- Parasite (intestinal)
- Parasite (malaria)
- Pinworm
- Tuberculosis
(molecular testing can be ordered for acid-smear positive samples) - VDRL Syphilis serology screening
