Advocate for victims of violent crimes. To qualify, victim must make police report and support prosecution. Assists victims and witnesses of crimes, including reimbursement for medical and counseling expenses and lost wages due to the crime. Provides help with emergency services, temporary childcare; emergency food, clothing, shelter, and transportation to court appearances in special cases. Also provides court escort and support, information and referral to other resources, and assistance in filing and legal proceedings.
