Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities (TASC)

This program provides advocacy and supervision services for adults currently involved in the criminal justice system and who demonstrate the ability and desire to participate in treatment. TASC services include assessment for eligible inmates who submit requests while incarcerated; treatment assessment and advocacy with the Probation Department, the District Attorney’s Office, and the client’s defense attorney to determine if an alternative sentence is feasible; regular counseling sessions until the individual is placed in treatment; supervision throughout and following treatment services; and monitoring compliance through urinalysis testing.

Mandatory drug testing is provided to adults referred to the Drug Court Program for specific drug offenses. An AODS counselor serves as the court/treatment liaison and, as part of the Drug Court Team, bridges the criminal justice system with treatment and provides consultation to the Judge on treatment issues. The outpatient services are provided by the Drug Abuse Alternative Center.

SonomaWORKS Welfare Reform Alcohol and Drug Services

Contact Us

Two AODS counselors are assigned to the Human Services Department to provide screening, assessment and case management as part of the welfare to work team process. The division will contract with specific treatment agencies to provide necessary services to eligible clients with alcohol and drug problems which constitute barriers to employment.
