Special Bulletins and Press Releases-Department of Emergency Services

Fire prevention messages are the number one way to educate people on safety concerns. Typically fire prevention messages have been presented around the fire service. Since the fire service is all risk generally prevention can consist of other safety concerns. Occasionally the fire prevention division will post press releases or bulletins to identify safety considerations or list resources for education. Remember fire prevention week occurs every year in October.

Informational Bulletins:

Informational Bulletins have been developed by Sonoma County Department of Emergency Services to help interpret and guide Permit Applicants in the Un-Incorporated areas of the county. These bulletins can also assist business and property owners that have been issued a notice to comply with adopted state and local codes enforced by Sonoma County Department of Emergency Services. Deep fryer safety: Measure the oil level prior to heating oil, Turn gas off to prevent overspill fires and splatter due to moisture, Keep fryer away from home and away from combustible decks.
