Spousal Support Collection Services

Spousal support collection services are provided only if the ordered amount is contained within the same court case as an order for child support, and the obligee resides with the minor child or children. The DCSS has no authority to either establish a spousal support order or initiate a modification of a spousal support order. The DCSS is not funded and may not continue to collect nonwelfare spousal support once child support owed in the same case is paid in full or no longer at issue.
