How do I establish parentage?

If both parents will cooperate in establishing parentage, they can come into the Department of Child Support Services office and sign a Declaration of Paternity. The declaration is a legal form that, when signed by both parents, says the man is the legal father. Signing a Declaration of Paternity is voluntary.
