Outreach and EducationWhat is child support? What do we do in our office? How does affect you? These are some of the questions we address through our Outreach and Education Program. We are available to participate in your Sonoma County community event or activity. For example, we "man" an informational booth every year at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair and we have done the same at the California Parenting Institute Family Expo. We also organize and participate in a variety of outreach activities during the month of August, Child Support Awareness Month. We are available to present to your community group or agency, government agency, or at your school. If you are an employer, give us a call, we'd be glad to set up a presentation at your workplace. We can arrange to have bi-lingual, Spanish speaking staff present at our outreach activities. The majority of our outreach and education written materials are available in Spanish. We will work with you in tailoring a presentation that would best meet the needs of your organization. There are issues for which our office cannot provide assistance such as custody and visitation. In addition, our office is not able to assist with issues of immigration status and does not provide information regarding criminal cases. When issues arise that are outside the scope of the work we do in our office, we provide resources and referrals to the client. We welcome the opportunity to participate in your community event and/or to present to your organization or agency.
