Residential Tenancy Protections Ordinance
Updated 2/25/25: On Feb. 25, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved temporary limitations on evictions in the Lower Russian River area neighborhoods where residents were most impacted by flooding during the February 2025 winter storms. This replaces countywide emergency eviction protections that were activated on Feb. 11 when the Board ratified a declaration of emergency due to the floods.

Sonoma County Board of Supervisors honors groups advancing transgender rights
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today adopted a gold resolution acknowledging the critical work of local organizations that support the transgender community. At Board direction, County staff also raised a transgender pride flag outside the Sonoma County Administration Building in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
