Russian River Redevelopment Project

Project Task Groups

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) establishes project task groups from time to time to obtain public input on issues related to Russian River Redevelopment projects and activities. The task groups meet in a variety of formats, including small group and larger public meetings, with the goal of ensuring effective public discussion regarding ways in which redevelopment funds can best be used to implement solutions to issues in these areas.

Project task groups active as of September 2009 discuss issues and provide input in the following areas:

1) Affordable Housing Task Group
2) Business/Economic Development Task Group
3) Public Restrooms Task Group
4) Monte Rio Wastewater Task Group
5) Clean Up Task Group

The first two groups are intended to meet as needed over an indefinite period of time to discuss potential programs and projects for the Redevelopment Area. The work of the latter three groups will be complete upon successful resolution of the issues.

The CDC strives to achieve a balanced mix of stakeholders and subject-matter experts for each group.
