Since then, there have been numerous advancements in physical and electronic security technology. In the interest of cash security, taxpayer security and safety, as well as the security and safety of the employees, the building is being remodeled. All costs are being funded through the adjustment of the department budget. The estimated date of completion is June 30, 2009. When we return, the building will have better security, a more streamlined one-stop customer service counter, energy efficiency throughout the building, and LEED certification.
